Kennon, Daniel, my mom and dad and I went to Russia for one month last June. It was a wonderful and very memorable trip. The kids did great and they are fluent in both languages now!!! Yeah!!! We accomplished our goal with them to "seal" the language, be with their relatives - especially with their great-grandfather and great-grandmother, and be a part of the culture, which they absolutely loved. JK joined us for one week (and it was wonderful) and my sister and her boyfriend came also for about 2 weeks.

Ira, I am so glad you got to go see your relatives and take the kids with you. Zhenya will be jealous that your kids know two languages and maybe it will give him more of a zeal to be faithful to teach Jaida and Ezra.
I can't wait when we will visit Russia. We are hoping it will be in 2010 when Zhenya becomes a Canadian citizen.
