Presents' Time

Kennon was quite interested in opening his presents. As you can see in the picture, he is eager to see what kind of toy it was.

Oh boy, this was the last present (good thing) and Kennon's favourite!!! As soon as he saw the propeller (still in the box) he grabbed onto it and didn't want to let it go. When we wanted to take away from him to set it down and thank everybody for coming, he started throwing a fit!!! He wanted to keep playing with his new airplane :) We had to get it out from the box and the rest of the evening Kennon spent riding his new airplane, which is still one if his favourite presents. Thank you, Henry and Olinda, for such a great gift!

This picture we took before the party when JK's cousin Katie and her husband Ricardo came a little earlier to greet the birthday boy. Thank you guys for such a fun gift for Kennon!

Kennon's First Cake

Can you see the one and only candle on the cake for Kennon???

Kennon opened his mouth to eat the cake but he was not so excited about it as he was about playing with the icing.

Kennon loves playing with "goo."

The Party

We had about 35 people come to the party and it was great. Kennon was overwhelmed at one point but he got to visit with almost everybody and be held by many too, which he enjoyed.

With Auntie Olga

Auntie Olga always gives such generous and wonderful gifts! As you can see, there are boxes around Kennon for his birthday! Thank you, Auntie Olga!!!

This is a fun toy that Kennon absolutely loved - it's a laughing dog that starts laughing whenever someone touches or shakes it. As you can see Kennon had a blast playing with it.

GAP Outfit! Kennon got to wear it for his evening Birthday Party.

Kennon's 1st Birthday

On July 10th we celebrated Kennon's 1st Birthday. It was quite a day but we managed to enjoy the party anyway. Here is Kennon's official Birthday portrait :)

"But Mom, I'm an Angel"

I was about to feed Kennon his oatmeal for breakfast when I had to step out for a second to do something. I put the cup of oatmeal on the table not very close to Kennon, but obviously in the reachable distance. When I came back, I was absolutely shocked! And Kennon was absolutely calm and happy playing with goo, which he LOVES. After the shock was gone, I just laughed and took pictures. I love the expression on Kennon's face! That morning I also found out that Kennon locked my cell phone entering a pin into it also (who knows how and who knows what that pin was).

Our Mornings

Every morning when Kennon wakes up I usually pick him up from his bed and bring him into our bed so that we can enjoy the time as a family :). As soon as Kennon is in the bed, he gets close to his daddy and starts patting his hair saying, "Dad," (it's neat to see Kennon be so excited to see JK) and then he starts climbing all over us - back and forth. It's not always fun, especially when we are trying to get some more sleep :) Well, Kennon learned how to get down from the bed but he still is too short to be able to get back. So here he is trying to get back into our bed.

Cowboy Hat

Please pardon our outfits, but we had to take a picture of Kennon in his cowboy hat that I bought for him recently. It also turned out to be a family photo :)

The 4th of July

This was Kennon's first 4th of July. We spent the time with our big family together. Too bad that Kennon didn't make it to see the fireworks. He was so tired that he didn't even hear them go off right outside of the room where he was sleeping. But they were sure beautiful.

We spent the day sailing again and had a great time, besides for the time when we all got sick :)

A date

Since JK was studying hard and we were all by ourselves, we decided to go on a date with Kennon to a restaurant right on the bay. Of course, we had a wonderful time and Kennon enjoyed my full attention.

MEAN FACE

Alright, this picture deserves an explanation...every time we tell Kennon "Mean Face," he proceeds to make this face and breath really hard in and out of his nose :) It's pretty hilarious. He also makes an elephant face, which I haven't had a chance to picture :) I will post it sometime soon.

Kennon is also a pretty good reader. He loves books and it seems that reading is one of the things that calm him down very fast and very easy. It's very fun to see your child be so interested in books!

Oh, yes, another interest of Kennon is the cell phone!!! I give it to him only when he is not behaving and needs to get quite, which is not very often, or when Kennon is ready to eat but is not willing to do that, which happens quite often. It is not a good habit to be in, but sometimes it's the only thing that works for him :) He gets distracted and opens his mouth very well. I do have a story to tell about it...One night I was feeding Kennon a dinner with the help of the cellphone and He had a great time pushing the buttons. JK's mom was visiting us at that time and I told her that nothing will happen to the cellphone because I give it to Kennon all the time and so far nothing's happened. Well, the next morning I needed to use my cellphone to find out a number and instead of the contacts option I see a pin request..........the cell phone wouldn't let me do anything without entering the pin!!!! Kennon set up a four digit pin the night before!!! And of course it was the day when I needed my phone the most!

Harvard Business School

Kennon was very happy to see Daddy every time he got a chance :) It makes my heart melt to see how much Kennon loves his daddy and daddy loves Kennon.
